Several businesses and police hit by string of BB and pellet gun attacks in Manchester, NH – Boston News, Weather, Sports

MANCHESTER, NH (WHDH) – Multiple locations in Manchester, NH, have been hit in a series of at least six BB and pellet gun attacks in recent weeks, police say.

The attacks last for about a month, the first taking place on February 9th. On February 21, a Manchester Police Department window was hit by a Bank of America.

At the Heavens gas station, police said the damage included a window with a hole and another window was completely shattered. Investigators believe someone fired a pellet gun at the building, which the station’s owner said had an employee working inside at the time.

“They heard a big explosion and were afraid of what happened,” Hammad Zaka told 7NEWS.

Zaka said his clerk looked at the window and saw the hole in it.

He said this type of attack had happened twice at his Webster Street shop. The cost to replace a window, he said, is $1,000.

“It’s frustrating because as a small business, there’s a lot of expenses, utility bills are going up — skyrocketing — and that’s an extra expense out of our pockets,” Zaka said.

About this latest attack, Zaka said he had a message for those responsible.

“If someone is doing this for fun, please don’t,” he said. “This is serious business and it can be hurtful.”

Manchester Police said they are still investigating to confirm if any recent BB and pellet gun attacks were linked. They have asked anyone with information about these incidents to come forward.
