Welcome back, RotoBallers! This is the second week in a row we have a midweek EPL to enjoy. It’s been a crazy time of year for European football, but it makes for some exciting times for us fans. There were originally three matches in the standings, but the match against Manchester United @ Brentford has been postponed due to the Covid outbreak. That leaves only two board games for us. Please read this analysis for me DFS . Football Picks on RotoBaller and see how to get success on Tuesday’s blocker.
Much of my DFS content will be EPL related, however, there’s more to the football than what’s happening in the UK. If you’d like to share it with me and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL tournaments or other sports, please consider become a premium member and join our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts!
In this article, I will give you English Premier League Daily fantasy soccer lineup selection for FanDuel on 12/14/21 for vehicles stopping at 2:30 p.m. ET. It looks like the vehicle will remain locked at 2:30 p.m. ET on FanDuel although the other two games won’t start until at least 15 minutes later, so be prepared for that. Be sure to also check out our other DFS . squad selection for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @ vdray5 If you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!
EPL DFS squad selection – Overview
Norwich vs Aston Villa
After picking up five points from three games, Norwich are now back on a losing streak. They host an Aston Villa team (+130) who have had mixed results so far this season. They should be able to handle Norwich, though, even on the road. Total over/under is the lowest under option 2, 2.5.
Manchester City vs Leeds
Manchester City (-720) is one of the favorites we’ve seen so far in the league. They are allowed 2.5 goals at home against the poor team Leeds. City have won six straight league games and are back at the top of the table after Chelsea dropped several points last week. They will roll Leeds and will be the best place to focus your attention on fantasy on Tuesday. Total over/under is 3.5.
FanDuel DFS Striker / Midfielder
Manchester City are going to go crazy with this standings, especially now with just two games. They are given 2.5 goals at home against Leeds which they can dominate. Leeds have defended a bit better lately, but they still concede, have shots on target and create a high percentage of chances. Raheem Sterling ($17) is stupidly undervalued on this vehicle compared to the rest of the City hitters. He has scored more than 28 FanDuel points in four of his last five games. He also just became the eighth youngest player to reach 100 Premier League goals with a strike last weekend. He will be one of the first players in most of my squad on Tuesday.
Bernardo Silva ($20) has also been in great form for Man City lately. He has a good mix of peripherals and upstream goals, which is exactly what you want in the Leeds game. He’s a bit pricey, but he’s still a good way to get a high-performance, high-ceiling player in your squad for a great game. It is unclear who will start exactly for City on Tuesday, but Phil Foden ($18) and Kevin de Bruyne ($19) would be next on my list of City attackers.
We needed to find the right attackers from another game to match the City’s guys in this regard. One place to go are the Aston Villa attackers. They face a Norwich team that are still conceding 2.0 goals per game. Ollie Watkins ($18) makes the most sense as the team’s top scorer and shooter, who scores +205 points on this game. He shares the best any time scoring rate in this game with teammates Danny Ings ($16). Ings looks like he’s back to full fitness and it would be a cheap way to get some goals in a good game if you don’t have a paycheck for Watkins. John McGinn ($17) is also a strong play with his peripherals.
Another way to do it is to try being different and get in touch with Norwich. Teemu Pukki ($17) is essentially the sole attacker of any fantasy-related relevance for them this season, especially when Milot Rashica is injured. He has five goals for the team this year. Villa’s defense has nothing to fear this year. They have only had 3 clean sheets all season and conceded 1.75 goals per game in road matches. Mathias Normann ($14) or Josh Sargent ($11) are lightly appealing value plays that people should own low on this blocking medium.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
Both Leeds and Manchester City are near the top of the league in terms of allowed defensive coordination. This is a great game environment for defenders in this game to score well. Oleksandr Zinchenko ($8) should be booked to start this game with Joao Cancelo suspended. He would easily become one of my favorite defenders in the standings if that were the case. He has the ability to strike back in a game like this, where City are huge favorites, and he can also get some good peripherals. Nor is he overvalued as he should be, and we need to capitalize on that.
On the other hand, Stuart Dallas ($12) is my favorite defender with his production all over the field. You just have to decide if the price tag is worth it, and I think it can if you find the value attacker.
Brandon Williams ($10) and Aymeric Laporte ($10) are two other defenders that I like on this board.
Goalkeeper FanDuel DFS
Ederson ($14) looks like a big lock on this block vehicle winning bonus and he has a 56% chance of keeping a clean sheet on this game. Leeds is also a solid match, because their aggressive attacking play often leads to beautiful saves for the opposing GKs.
Emiliano Martinez ($11) in effect if you’re fading the Norwich attackers. Norwich have struggled a lot to score all season with just eight goals in 16 games. Villa’s defense can be hard to trust at times, but to save $3 over Ederson, you might have to try and trust Martinez on Tuesday.
Thanks for reading my Selection of EPL DFS . lineup crash on RotoBaller and good luck!
