EPL DFS squad selection – Overview

Chelsea vs Everton

Chelsea (-420) needed a 94th-minute penalty to beat Leeds 3-2 last weekend, and they will need another win to catch Manchester City at the top of the table. They take on an Everton team that has played quite badly this season. They have only one win in the EPL since late September and lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace last weekend. Chelsea attackers at home will be a common spot in this regard. Total over/under is 2.5.

Liverpool vs Newcastle

Liverpool (-800) is our second 2.5-goal team of the week. Manchester City were the favorites with 2.5 goals on Tuesday and ended up beating Leeds 7-0. Liverpool have similar potential in this group in the elite home game against Newcastle. Newcastle are conceding more than 2 goals per game and Liverpool are in a great position to score 3 or more points. Total over/under goals is 3.5 which is the highest by blocking means with a total of -122.

FanDuel DFS Striker / Midfielder

It’s a “you do it at your own risk” situation for Mo Salah ($22) on this blocking medium. Liverpool are facing the worst defense in the league against Newcastle. Salah has been exceptional this year as he leads the league in both goals and assists. He’s -245 goals in this game, which is one of the best any-time scoring rates I’ve seen.

This match could turn into a bloodbath just two days after we watched Manchester City beat Leeds 7-0. We have the team that scores the most goals facing the team that scores the most goals allowed, so some additional Liverpool exposure would be smart. Both Diogo Jota ($20) and Sadio Mane ($19) are good plays on this medium to pair with Salah. Jota is in better form from a scoring perspective and has also been playing more this year.

The second place to look for attackers in this area will go to Chelsea. They are facing a disappointing team Everton at home with a pretty bad defense. Everton have conceded 2.4 goals per game in their last five games, and Chelsea should be ready for this when they need a win. They also have three reported positives on the team, but we don’t know who they could be yet. Mason Mountain ($19) is in great form with three-goal games in a row. He also gets good peripheral stats with his goals, which makes for a great floor/ceiling combination for him in this game. Callum Hudson-Odoi ($17), Ruben Loftus-Cheek ($13), and Jorginho ($14) are other great Chelsea plays that let you save some money to buy more Liverpool players. Honestly, it’s very difficult to predict the lineup this time of year in general let alone the ongoing Covid outbreak. Stay tuned for updates on my Twitter (@vdray5).

I really wouldn’t target any Newcastle or Everton attackers in tough road matches on this board outside Demarai Grey ($15). Lately he’s been really imaginative for Everton and can be a nice contrasting play.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

Trent Alexander-Arnold ($15) played at home in a great game. He’s $4-5 cheaper than Liverpool’s second attacker, which is great savings considering his floor/ceiling in this game. He’s the top defender on the list – and if you have the money – I recommend playing him. Andrew Robertson ($13) has also been in good form lately and will enjoy the same extra game. If you don’t have $2 for TAA, Robertson is a good spinner. Joel Matip ($9) is a good value defender on this vehicle. He won’t provide a lot of offensive ability, but he can get some nice defensive peripherals and will get a clean sheet bonus here.

The Newcastle defenders had a good run in this game against Liverpool, who allowed a lot of defensive action. Jamal Lewis ($7) is the cheapest player I would review on this medium with this beautiful match.

Reece James ($14) has been fantastic for Chelsea this season. He has good offensive ability and strong peripheral defensive stats. He’s expensive, but he was a good mainstay against Liverpool defenders in a beautiful home game.

Goalkeeper FanDuel DFS

Alisson ($13) and Edouard Mendy ($12) are the only two GKs in my player pool on this medium. Both have to queue for both rewards. I prefer Mendy for $1 cheaper and because Everton are forced to save more opposing GKs.

Thanks for reading my EPL DFS . lineup selection crash on RotoBaller and good luck!
