Section of Mass Pike in Newton closed after trucks drove on bridge – Boston News, Weather, Sports

Newton, mass. (WHDH) — Massachusetts State Police have been directing traffic on I-90 after a truck drove into an overpass in Newton Thursday morning.
In a social media post, state police said minor injuries were reported after the crash on the east side of the freeway.
Traffic visibly crushed during the morning hours when a SKY7 camera spotted a damaged heavy-duty truck that had veered sideways. Crews were able to disengage the vehicle from what appeared to be a truck machine that became wedged in the Auburn Street flyover, damaging a bridge beam.
During the response, both the left and right lanes were closed to traffic as state police directed vehicles through the middle. The overlying bridge was meanwhile completely closed to traffic.
The Newton Police Department later announced that the bridge would be closed “until further notice”.
