Secret Documents Found at Mike Pence’s Home, Lawyer Says – Boston News, Weather, Sports

NEW YORK (AP) — Documents with secret markings were discovered at the home of former Vice President Mike Pence in Indiana last week, according to his attorney.
“The additional records appear to be a small number of documents with secret markings that were accidentally bagged and transported to the former Vice President’s private home at the end of the last administration,” Greg Jacob, attorney for Pence, told the National Archives letter last week.
He said that “Pence was unaware of the existence of sensitive or classified documents in his personal residence” and that he “understands the great importance of protecting sensitive and classified information and is ready and willing to cooperate fully with the National Archives and any appropriate investigation.” .”
A Justice Department spokesman declined to comment Tuesday, and a lawyer for Pence did not immediately respond to an email asking for further elaboration.
penny told the Associated Press in August that he did not take any classified information with him when he left office.
When asked directly whether he kept classified information after leaving office, he said, “No, not to my knowledge.”
