A notorious killer reportedly now wants to be treated like a baby and wear diapers in prison.

Sophie Eastwood, formerly known as Daniel, transitioned from a man to a woman after being sentenced to life in prison in 2004.

The 36-year-old was dubbed “Hannibal Lecter Junior” after she used shoelaces as a garotte to strangle her cellmate – a month before she was due to be released from a juvenile detention center for dangerous driving.

She has since told staff at Polmont Prison in Brightons, Scotland, that she wants to be treated like a toddler and has asked to wear nappies and have her food pureed.

Eastwood has also requested that guards hold her hand as she is escorted to and from her cell.

According to a source quoted by the Daily Record, prison bosses are taking her requests seriously and have already given her a pacifier.

“Eastwood is a complex person and intelligent, but she’s quite taxing on the prison’s resources and enjoys being the center of attention,” they said.

“It’s hard to tell if she really has a natural inclination to be treated like a baby, or if it’s just some sort of attention-seeking thing.

“Modern prisons are very attuned to human rights and the legal ramifications that come with them, so they are given due consideration.”

The source also revealed that Eastwood has been “difficult” and “manipulative” over the years.

Although it is not known if Eastwood’s condition has been clinically studied, people who identify as babies usually suffer from paraphilic infantilism, also known as “adult baby syndrome”.

It is a sexual fetish in which adults roleplay and revert to a childlike state, often to help them deal with childhood trauma and abandonment issues.

As with any fetish, there’s a booming industry behind it, with adult nurseries with giant cots and adult-sized diapers all available in England.

There are no plans to put Easwood in an open prison system, although she has already served the full term of the tariff.

Speaking to the Record from Polmont Prison earlier this year, she claimed she would have been released by now if she hadn’t switched.

She said: “I thought that was sexist and transphobic. The SPS (Scottish Prison Service) implied that as a man I posed no risk to the public, but as a woman I did. I don’t think there is any evidence for that.
