Women in Rotary is hosting an International Women’s Day event March 13 at the Rotary San Jose Summit Center, 88 S. Fourth St. Break the Bias celebrates the achievements of women leaders with guest speakers Aparna Bawa, COO of Zoom Video Communications, and Ahmad Thomas, CEO of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.
The event will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tickets cost $50 bit.ly/34vA7mz.
Title IX Webinar
To mark the 50th anniversary of Title IX’s passage, the Santa Clara County American Association of University Women (AAUW) is hosting a webinar on March 19th about its evolution over the years and how it’s affecting areas other than school athletics. Title IX should address gender discrimination in education, including equal access to financial assistance and STEM-based programs.
Webinar panelists include Danielle Slaton, Olympic medalist and Earthquake television analyst, and Dr. Akhila Carter-Francique, Associate Professor of African American Studies at SJSU and Executive Director of the Institute for the Study of Sports, Society and Social Change.

ALMADEN>>Atria Almaden is hosting a presentation on March 15th on Alzheimer’s and Dementia with keynote speaker Antoine Rabbat, who has almost 30 years of mental health experience. Rabbat’s presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
