“Somehow, somehow, I believe my assistant’s bag has been picked up and they are loading it in the front of the store and there are a lot of people around,” said Lieutenant Christopher Rockwell of the Salvation Corps. Army Farmington said. Obviously a bad person to see that and take advantage of it. “

They drove the pickup truck and about $6,000 toys inside.

“Shocking, unbelievable, how someone could do that – especially in a marked vehicle, receive presents for children,” said Lieutenant Rockwell.

Toys for over 350 children. The toys are set to be distributed on December 20.

Now, the hope is to replace the stolen toy by Monday. The community responded in a big way: donating toys and money.

“The response of the community and what they are doing has been absolutely heartwarming because of the generosity and dedication of this area here in Farmington and the Four Corners area,” Lt. Rockwell said.

Toys can be donated at the Salvation Army Farmington Community Center at 319 West Broadway. Clothing and hygiene products are also in high demand.
