Ryan Gosling doesn’t do a lot of blockbusters Bladerunner 2049 the only film of his career to have cost more than $100 million to make gangster squad the only other entry in his filmography that ticks the action-packed, effects-driven box. Of course that will change when The gray man is coming to Netflix this summer, and the star is hoping this is just the start.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have touted the world-spanning spy adventure as a launch pad for a potential multi-film series before filming even wrapped, and it should do anywhere near as well as its spiritual predecessor Red noticethen further installments are virtually guaranteed.
Speaking to Empire, Gosling outlined his hopes of playing Court Gentry (known as Sierra Six) at least one more time, with the addition of a brand new image as part of the bargain you can check out below.
“I loved making this film. I would like to do it again. I hope we can eventually get Six to name status just for his own sanity.”
The two-time Oscar nominee also described his character as someone who “just wants the right to sit on the couch and watch Netflix like the rest of us.” While that hardly sounds like a franchise’s leading man, Gosling’s back catalog speaks for itself to ensure we’ll put on a strong performance between the races, shoots, and ass-kicks required The gray man is committed to providing Netflix subscribers.
