A Rozelle woman has been charged with alleged neglect and manslaughter of her elderly husband, who police said was found semi-conscious and in a state of neglect.
Police were called to the two-bedroom property on Nelson Street in Sydney’s inner west in May before Victor Donald Alberts, 84, was taken to hospital.

Alberts stayed there for seven months before dying of complications from his injuries in December, police said in a statement.
His wife, Liliya Nemirovskaya, 61, was arrested in Rozelle on Monday morning and charged with manslaughter, refusing to provide basic necessities, endangering her life and domestic violence.
Nemirovskaya’s case came to Downing Center Local Court late Monday when Judge Rodney Brender granted the defendants bail on conditions including $30,000 bail, daily reporting to Balmain Police Station and surrender of her passport.
The matter is scheduled to be heard back in court on March 23.
