FANS of the royal family went crazy over the light show and presentation of a corgi, the Queen and her handbag at the Platinum Jubilee concert.
More than several thousand people attended the spectacular Queen’s Platinum Jubilee event today – and it’s safe to say the show did not disappoint.
Featuring dozens of artists and musical talent, people gathered outside Buckingham Palace to celebrate the occasion.
And although Her Majesty did not attend the performance, there was a surprise towards the end of the concert – a light show featuring the Queen, her handbag and of course a corgi.
Those who followed the show both in person and from their living room very soon rushed to social media – with one even claiming the lights were better than the music.
“Whoever programmed and organized the Queen’s 70th anniversary drones and whoever came up with the idea needs a raise [sic]’ read one tweet.
”Was spot on… music wasn’t bad either” thought user InvertedOvert.
There were plenty of royal fans who shared the same sentiment, with Soph (@sophcharlotte4) describing the drones as “insane” and adding a cute corgi emoji at the end of her tweet.
Jason Carlyon, another spectator at the grand ceremony, seemed to particularly enjoy the stunning light show.
“What a fantastic platinum anniversary celebration [sic].
“Amazing light show and drone display,” he wrote, before adding, “God save the queen [sic]” next to the hashtag #thanyou and a royal corgi emoji with a crown.
Twitter user TheBear (@TribalGoat) described the drones, lighting and graphics as “absolutely phenomenal”.

Jack Rosen, one of the many viewers who tuned in, even went so far as to say that the drone corgi made his year over Buckingham Palace.
Thousands of Britons gathered outside Buckingham Palace tonight for the Queen’s Platinum Party at The Palace.
While members of the Royal Family, including the Cambridges, Charles and Camilla and Princess Anne were in the audience, Her Majesty did not attend the performance.
Queen Elizabeth has had mobility issues in recent months and the palace had warned in advance that the monarch would be assessing which anniversary events she felt able to attend.
She withdrew from Friday’s Jubilee Thanksgiving service after experiencing “discomfort” during Thursday’s celebrations.
And granddaughter Zara Tindall previously said Her Majesty is enjoying the celebrations at home in her “comfortable clothes” after missing tonight’s Epsom Derby.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are staying home for the palace party after celebrating daughter Lilibet’s first birthday in private.
The couple are keeping a low profile this weekend after the Queen reportedly said there would be “no drama” during the anniversary.
Harry and Meghan have only made one public appearance over the weekend.
They came hand in hand to yesterday’s thanksgiving service.
Nor were Meg and Harry standing next to Her Majesty on the palace balcony as the four-day bonanza began on Thursday.
However, both watched Trooping the Color from a window in the Major General’s office.
Famous artists included Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart, Craig David, Diana Ross, George Ezra and Alicia Keys.
It is the penultimate of the major anniversary events with the Platinum Jubilee Pageant on Sunday 5th June.
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012 saw big names like Madness, Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue perform in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
