Viewers of the parade took to Twitter, with many speculating if the outfit was the same as his father Prince William wore 37 years ago.

“He’s wearing the same outfit William wore to the same event when he was Louis,” one royal fan tweeted.

Another agreed, adding: “Prince Louis is wearing Prince William’s sailor suit 🥺”

“Louis channeled William as a child in this adorable sailor suit,” added another, while a fourth wrote, “Prince Louis was dressed like William.”

Another joined in the conversation, commenting: “I actually thought Louis was William. Like father, like son.”

Prince William was spotted wearing a nearly identical powder blue sailor outfit himself in 1985 while attending Trooping the Color at the age of two.

Prince George, William’s eldest, also wore a similar if not the same outfit in 2015.

The tradition of dressing young royals in sailor suits is believed to date back to the time of Queen Victoria, when, as a surprise for her husband Prince Albert, she commissioned a child-sized version to be made for their son Edward.

The Queen has reigned for more than 70 years, making her the longest-serving British monarch. But what else do we know about them?

This morning’s breathtaking spectacle kicked off four days of celebrations for the Queen, who is celebrating a sensational 70 years on the throne.

Thunderous applause erupted as thousands of royal fans flooded the Union Jack-lined Mall for Trooping the Color in honor of Her Majesty’s 70 years of service.

Princess Charlotte, Prince George and Prince Louis all shone in front of Buckingham Palace and Horse Guards Parade for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee procession.

A full 1,200 Household Division officers and soldiers are taking part in the birthday parade this morning.

They rode in a carriage and waved to the crowd as preparations began for the monarch’s 70th anniversary celebrations.

The children, dressed in a light blue, navy and white color scheme, raised their hands in royal supporters who have lined the streets since the early hours of the morning.

Cheers erupted from thousands of spectators in The Mall as they spotted the trio seated across from Kate Middleton and Camilla.

The children later bowed their heads as the national anthem was played upon their arrival at Horse Guards Parade.
