The refreshed Royal Enfield Himalayan was launched in India in early 2021 and is available with minor cosmetic and feature updates, as well as three new colors, including Pine Green, Mirage Silver and Granite Black. Additionally, Himalayan has a Tripper Navigation pod, which provides real-time navigation and is built with the Google Maps platform in mind. On the Himalayan there are also minor cosmetic changes, with a slightly taller windshield, revised design on the tank fenders, improved seat cushions and an additional plate on the luggage compartment.
The 411 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, single overhead cam (SOHC) engine remains the same and produces 24.3 PS at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque. between 4,000-4,500 rpm. The fuel-injected engine also comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension and brake hardware remain the same, as does the half-duplex rack frame. The front suspension is handled by 41 mm forks with 200 mm of travel, while the rear suspension is a monoshock with 180 mm of travel and 220 mm of ground clearance. Braking is a two-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS), with switchable rear-wheel ABS.
