Ronnie O’Sullivan travels to Singapore for his first-ever exhibition in the country and to take a look at the work of his academy there.

The Ronnie O’Sullivan Snooker Academy opened at the end of 2021 and The Rocket spoke of his enthusiasm for the company earlier in the year.

He told that Sun a year ago: “We already have the facilities. It is an area of ​​16,000 square meters.

“Over there they are a lot more supportive and happy about their amateurs and juniors. It’s something I think will work. While snooker gives me the platform for projects like this, sometimes you have to think outside the box.’

Now he is traveling to Singapore next month to do exhibitions from June 11-18, while also confirming he will also be coaching at his academy.

“I’m looking forward to going to Singapore in June, it should be great. The academy looks amazing out there,” O’Sullivan said after winning his seventh world title.

“I’m looking forward to going out and spending some time there to see what they’re up to. I will draft and develop some coaching plans Snooker in Asia is going to be a really fun thing.’

O’Sullivan further explained his plan for Asian expansion to the Sun: “The idea is to get the first thing right, make it successful, and then when that goes well it will be easier to get the rest out there .

“China is definitely a big part of the plan, but the first will start in Singapore.

“We want to support the good guys who come through the academy so they try to get their main tour card and become professional players.
