A man and two boys have been charged with the murder of a “kind and loving” teenager in Wolverhampton.

Ronan Kanda, 16, died at the scene after being attacked with a knife just before 9pm on Wednesday.

A post-mortem found he had been stabbed twice on Mount Road, Lanesfield.

Josiah Francis, 20, from Birmingham, and two 16-year-old boys – who cannot be named for legal reasons – will appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

A 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, also arrested on suspicion of murder, have been released on bail.

Ronan’s family have paid tribute to him and said their hearts were shattered by his passing.

“Ronan was a kind, loving and caring 16-year-old. Our son and a brother who would do anything for anyone,” the family spokesman said.

“He was a funny character who made everyone around him laugh. He is cruelly taken from us and our hearts are broken.

“We want everyone to pray for their souls now. We will always love you, our son and my brother, and you will live in us now.’
