Retail workers share what annoys customers when they check out

In a video that went viral, TikTok user @yourfacemakesmytoesitch shared one of her favorite pet peeves as a retail worker.

“Imagine reaching out to me to give you back your change when you gave me your change on the table,” she says. “You’re going to take change from the table like…”

In the caption, the TikToker clarified that in such situations, she often extends her hand to take the money, but customers leave it on the counter anyway.

Many users in the comments section shared TikToker’s complaint.

“I was just having this conversation the other day. As you give me the money, it will be paid back,” wrote one user.

“I did that once and the guest was like ‘that was rude’ and I was like ‘oh I just thought you’d prefer I didn’t give it to you,'” shared a second.

“As a former cashier, I gave out change to make it harder for them to pick it up,” commented another.
