First on the menu: Wings.

At any good store there are plenty of options – BBQ, teriyaki, garlic – and Quezada had the thermal habanero sauce for our wings.

“That’s probably our sauce,” she said. “You’ll see when it puts it on, it puts on your wings really well. It’s delicious.”

The trick to having a perfectly coated wing, says Quezada, is to make sure your wings come straight out of the fryer and into your sauce. Another useful tip is to fly well.

“You’re going to have to flip that wrist. You want to flip it and don’t be afraid, you’re going to start covering it,” she explains.

If you’re feeling brave, you can also try the hand method. Be careful, however. It can be complicated.

If you’re like me and you prefer wings, feel free to drizzle some leftover sauce on top – and don’t forget to taste!

“It’s really good.”

Pro Tip: Dry rubbing tends to be better for wings that will sit out for a while. Pizza is also a good plan B.

Going back to the menu, we have burgers.

“This is an 8-ounce all-beef pate, so we have two options: You can go with the bacon pate or the all-beef pate,” explains Quezada.

Smaller patties take less time to cook and may be a better choice if you have a lot of hungry guests. If they’re picky eaters, Quezada also recommends having tomatoes on the side – and you can add bacon, green peppers, mushrooms, sautéed onions, and other toppings.

Personally, I don’t like wasting stomach space on garnishes as I’m a veggie-free person so I’ll eat some green chilies. In this case, it’s BYOB – Build Your Own Burgers.

Of course, you must have bacon and while there’s the option to put a lot in a burger, I always like to shred my bacon so I can get the bacon in every bite.

Another taste test and, like the wings, it won’t be a great and delicious part of a back door or clock party menu.
