Ravens LG Ben Powers, CB Anthony Averett attend regular season finale; Steelers LT Dan Moore Jr. Inactive – Twin Cities

Raven left-back Ben Powers was out of action in Sunday’s must-win regular-season final against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Powers, who participated in limited practice this week, has not played since the Week 12 loss to the Cleveland Browns because of a leg injury.

Rookie Ben Cleveland is expected to start on the left side for the fourth game in a row. The third-round draw was limited to practice on Friday after not participating on Thursday because of a head injury.

With Powers out, full-back Patrick Ricard on the bench injured and Nick Boyle last on the reserve/COVID-19 roster, Raven could have a hard time keeping the Steelers outside of record-breaking full-back TJ Watt 22 fired in one season of the NFL. ½, placed by Hall of Famer Michael Strahan in 2001. Watt has 21 ½ bags this season.

Meanwhile, cornerback Anthony Averett (ribs/chest) and full-back Lamar Jackson (ankle) will not play for Raven, who need a win over the Steelers. and losses from the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers to qualify for the knockout round. Coach John Harbaugh announced Friday that backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will start his fourth season. Jackson hasn’t competed since injuring his right ankle on December 12 in a game against the Browns.

Rookie full-back Odafe Oweh will miss the second game in a row because of a foot injury. Oweh, the 31st overall pick, has been one of the Ravens’ best defensive players this season, scoring 33 tackles, five pitches and three forced fumbles.

Pro Bowl wide drop and return specialist Devin Duvernay (ankle/knee) is active after being shortlisted, while Tony Poljan closes in, defensive player Isaiah Mack and man James Proche II’s general recognition is that the scratches heal.

As for the Steelers, Diontae Johnson, starting full-back Joe Haden and center-back Kendrick Green are expected to play after being activated from the reserve/COVID-19 roster.

Meanwhile, Dan Moore Jr. (ankle) start, running back to Anthony McFarland Jr. (Maryland), saves Carlos Davis, defender Tegray Scales, punter Corliss Waitman and full-back Dwayne Haskins were all inactive. Recipient James Washington will also not compete after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 roster on Saturday.

Additionally, Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler will not be participating in training because of COVID-19 protocol. His duties will be handled by coach Mike Tomlin and senior defensive assistant/sub-coach Teryl Austin.
