Race-by-race preview and tips for Canterbury on Friday

Race 5 – 20:00 THE AGENCY REAL ESTATE HANDICAP (1250 METERS)

6. Jayanthi is a consistent type and set a career high last time out at Warwick Farm. The mare drifted back from a tricky draw and put up a tenacious run, running the fastest final 600m of the meeting in a 33.00. There was a subsequent winner to confirm the form. All key indicators suggest she can win it back-to-back and has a more positive race setup here. She has all favors, brings a slight fitness advantage, and has a strong SP profile.
Driven: 7. Shhei Resumes without an official public trial won well first in the final preparation and ran a good time on this track. It comes in with no weight and is a key late-market watch. 4. PungoHas a bright future ahead of him and continues here after a calm race where he came through the line full of energy. Most recently he started as a favorite in the G3 Carbine Club (1600m). Expect him to destroy the line. Add to 1. The Empire And 8. Twice as special to trifectas and first fours.
How to play it: Jayanthi WINS. Odd & Even: SPLITS.

Race 6 – 8:30pm PRECISE FIRE HANDICAP (1900 METERS)

Import 5. Wine Glass Bay Profiles well for this event, and his ratings/cuts suggest he’s poised to finish fourth. The gelding was popular late in the trade in a stronger class in the last Randwick race and was only just beaten. He made easy excuses but hit the line well and increasing the distance is ideal here. The galloper trained by Waller has got a tricky card but James McDonald rides and he has by far the best figure in the last race. Expect a bold show.
Driven: 10. Lovethe invasion weathered this preparation well and is ready to do something fourth. Expect her to roll forward and give a sight. 1.Yukon is rock solid and will be strong by the end of the 1900m. 3. Silent agenda has exhausted all the preparations, and the blinders come off.
How to play it: WIN Wineglass Bay. Odd & Even: SPLITS.

Race 7 – 21:00 KIA CANTERBURY NIGHT SPRINT SERIES FINAL (1100 METERS)

5. Diamond dealer was a perfect example of consistency in this run and was brave in the last Warwick Farm race. The four-year-old rode far all the way, albeit at a moderate pace, and struggled to finish second. She is showing well for this event, with James McDonald driving, and it was this distance/distance that was her peak performance. Going back to a rain-affected surface fits and expects her to catch something.
Driven: 4. Mars Mission can sprint fresh and recently won a class at Rosehill in style. He’s got a tricky map but expect him to charge mid-track late. 1st goal has several winning figures and is easy to depict. However, some ask back into the distance. 2. Noble Jaybee will appreciate the smooth walking and drop in grade. 9. Ruby Kisses resumed and has a solid deficit.
How to play it: Diamond Dealers WIN. Odd & Even: SPLITS.

Race 8 – 21:30 YES YES YES FIRST YEARLING HANDICAP (1200 METERS)

7. Kazu made excuses when she finished third at this track/distance in a high profile race two weeks ago and her run was full of merit. After just one gentle attempt, the three-year-old kept going, launched a popular $1.60 favorite, jumped awkwardly, and then got into a sticky situation during the transit. She was blocked at critical moments before the home straight, but accelerated sharply when she was clear and, at 22.84, clocked the same fastest final 400m split of the meeting. All key indicators, such as B. her ratings/cross-sectional profile suggest that she will improve significantly and gain a fitness advantage through this effort. Trained by Chris Waller, the galloper has a positive racing setup and expects to be hard to beat.
Dangers: The easily driven 2. Junqueira has a strong record and can jump back into the winning box here. The filly made her debut on a wet track in the last start and was narrowly beaten in a similar race. She can score to win and cards to have all favors. 3. Seven Sisters kept trying to get the last start at this track, finished second, and she easily beat the rest. She is rock solid and will appreciate the increase in distance. 8. Miss Hellfire resumed and has proven itself well, and the turn signals go out. 5. Ithadtobezou beat Kazou last start, albeit from a longer price, but must be taken into account.
How to play it: WIN Kazou. Odds & Evens: SPLIT.

Best bid: Race 8 (7) Kazou
next best: Race 2 (7) Lomandra
Best value: Race 4 (4) Owen County
