The stunning bus had what insiders dubbed MoT style once again, 20 years after it last appeared on London’s streets.
Experts checked the 24-foot, 4-ton Georgian-era carriage to ensure it was in tip-top shape for the 70th anniversary celebrations.
The Queen, 96, previously described the ride in the Gold State Coach during her 1953 coronation as “terrible”.
But today royals including William, Kate, Charles and Camilla watched as the golden carriage stunned onlookers.

Cheeky Prince Louis was spotted beaming as he saw his great-grandmother’s hologram.
The four-day extravaganza to mark the incredible 70 years of the Queen’s reign will be rounded out today with a grand anniversary lunch and the much-anticipated platinum anniversary page.
Royal revelers lined The Mall ahead of the spectacle hoping to catch a glimpse of the carriage.
The 3 km route covered today is similar to that at its coronation in 1953.
