Putin fined a politician for disrespecting him during a speech

Vladimir Putin is taking his shots where he can get them these days while Russia is essentially crumbling after invading Ukraine. He recently tried to get Russian billionaires to prop up the economy with no takers left. His private army recruits on Pornhub, and finally eyebrows are raised at how his detractors and derogatory collaborators tend to fall out of high-floor windows, numbering in the dozens altogether.

How does the Russian President let off steam? He decided to fine a politician for essentially pulling a Marjorie Taylor Greene, which is ironic since she seems to favor Putin if that’s the price of slamming Biden. However, Putin showed no patience for a (silent) heckler when Mikhail Abdalkin decided to take a stand by putting spaghetti over his ears while virtually watching a Putin speech. Well, Putin heard about the viral video and fined him over $2,000. Via Reuters, Vlad claimed Abdalkin was “discrediting the armed forces”.

The noodles were apparently a statement that Abdalkin believes Putin’s speeches are full of lies.

Putin obviously didn’t take the move well, but as NPR reports, he seems much happier about the recent testimony of two Russian fighter pilots who shot down a US unmanned drone. Accordingly, the Russian Ministry of Defense honored the pilots and classified the American plane as an “intruder”. Further, as reported by NPR, Russia claims, “The Russian plane did not deploy onboard weapons, did not make contact with the UAV, and returned safely to its home base.” The non-contact claim appears to be entirely false, as Pentagon footage ( via CNN) showing the jets pouring fuel onto the drone. It’s not exactly a Lex Luthor move, but it doesn’t play fair by any means.
