Protesters call for gun control at ‘March For Our Lives’ rally in Boston – Boston News, Weather, Sports

BOSTON (WHDH) — Hundreds of people joined a nationwide demonstration demanding gun control and protested in Boston on Saturday.

The local March For Our Lives demonstration in Christopher Columbus Park drew residents and officials to call for tighter gun controls after massacres at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, and a grocery store in Buffalo, New York.

“Gun violence is a public health issue,” said Tami Gouveia, a state official running for lieutenant governor.

“This incident in Texas hit us really hard,” said Plymouth resident Kelly Gately. “It’s really emotional and enough is enough. It doesn’t seem to end.”
