PROSTITUTION could thrive in the metaverse and allow for fantasies that are not safe or even legal in real life.

So says a porn producer and journalist who explained the concept to Bustle.

Noelle Perdue told the outlet, “Rather than creating custom content, people will create custom experiences.”

She added, “Virtual reality opens up so many exciting opportunities to explore the more surreal elements of fetish and kink.

“There are many fetishes that cannot be replicated in real life, like a giant fetish or hypnosis or more fantastical niche desires.

“Virtual reality offers such an amazing way to actually be inside those fantasies in a way you can’t get inside [reality].”

Some experts believe sex work will take over the metaverse just as it did the internet.

Mark Zuckerberg’s meta is working on a metaverse that could now make this possible.

Its head of virtual reality, Andrew Bosworth, once said they were aiming for “almost Disney security levels.”

However, the sex industry is already part of the metaverse across different platforms.

Adult site DreamCam VP Daniel Golden and cam model Carly Evans previously spoke to The Sun about how the Metaverse could evolve sex online.

He believes that sex in the metaverse has a number of positive qualities and could become as commonplace as sex in real life.

Golden explained, “We are all human and sex is a part of life, whether in the metaverse or not.

“In the Metaverse, it doesn’t matter what you look like, and users can even choose.

“This could be great for people who are feeling insecure about how they look during sex, so they might decide to use the metaverse more.”

“People in long-distance relationships might also have more sex in the metaverse than in real life so they don’t lose that physical connection.

“Dressing it up in the metaverse just becomes a personal preference for how people want to dress their freak.”
