Pretty in purple! Princess Kate and sister Pippa Middleton donned strikingly similar wine-colored coats while attending the King’s annual bank holiday concert at Westminster Abbey.
The 40-year-old Princess of Wales appeared for the Royal Carols: Together at Christmas taping on Thursday December 15 wearing a maroon coat dress with structured shoulders and twin gold buckles at the waist. She completed the look with a matching pair of heels, a clutch bag and gloves.
The Berkshire native, UK, arrived with her husband at the event, which she moderated. Prince William, 9-year-old son George and 7-year-old daughter Charlotte. The royals’ youngest son, Louis, was apparently absent. Charlotte also wore a dark purple coat that matched her mother’s. For their part, the two boys wore matching black suits.
Pippa, 39, attended the Christmas screening with a look that was strikingly similar to the royal family’s iconic style preferences. Kate’s sister wore a belted coat dress in a similar shade of wine. To complete her look, she paired maroon knee high boots.
Other members of the royal family were also in attendance including Williams, 40, father, King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice and William’s aunt Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Kate and Pippa’s parents, Carole and Michael Middletonwere also on duty.
The event is the second annual carol concert sponsored by the Royal Foundation. Kate organized the first musical shindig last year, dedicating it to first responders and organizations across the UK supporting the country during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s event was dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September. The show paid homage to the late monarch and highlighted her values, including duty, empathy, faith, service, kindness, compassion and support for others, according to the royal family’s official website.
Whilst promoting the show over the weekend, Kate donned a festive cranberry colored dress which featured a floral pattern alongside its stunning sequin embellishments.
“Join us this Christmas Eve for a very special service at Westminster Abbey, packed with festive carols and beautiful performances as we celebrate what makes this the most wonderful time of the year,” she said in the promotional video, which was released on Sunday December , went live 11.
A broadcast of the Christmas show will be broadcast on Christmas Eve in the UK and commented on by Catherine Zeta Jones.
