Prince Harry finds his role in the “second royal line” difficult to swallow

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s long-awaited public appearance at the anniversary has been carefully orchestrated to ensure it runs smoothly.
The exact arrangements, made in conjunction with Royal Security and Buckingham Palace, were signed off by the Queen herself.

Protocol usually dictates that members of the royal family sit in order of precedence. But at St. Paul’s Thanksgiving service, the Sussexes were distant from the senior members.
Instead of sitting next to his brother William and sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, Harry sat behind the Duke of Gloucester, who is 31st in line to the throne.
The excuse was that since they are no longer working members they should literally take a back seat.
The reality is that the palace was destined that there would be no photos that could reveal animosity between the brothers.

Becoming a “second row king” is hard for Harry to swallow.
As he entered the cathedral with his stylish wife Meghan at his side, he was fed up.
The visit was unusually understated for the couple.
The Queen is obviously taken with Harry and Meghan.
She was the one who wanted them to come to the UK and enjoy their platinum anniversary with their great-grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.
It is the olive branch that, as a true Christian, she always offers. She did it for Diana. She did it for Fergie.
She did it for her son, the Duke of York. But they have to do things on their terms.
Harry and Meghan are slowly learning where to stand.
