This year’s Amazon Prime Day hasn’t started yet, but it looks like Google has jumped the gun and discounted its Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro to new lows.

While Amazon’s annual Prime Day sales event doesn’t start for 48 hours until tomorrow, July 12-13, deals are beginning to appear. The best among them seems to be Google’s offerings for its coveted smartphones.

You can save £150 on the Google Pixel 6. At £499 that’s a pretty low price as you’d save 25% of the cost, which is as good a smartphone deal as any on Prime Day.

You can save £200 on the Google Pixel 6 Pro, which is the lowest we’ve seen for the Pixel 6 Pro. For an essentially mid-range price, you’d be snagging a solid iPhone competitor.

We reviewed the Pixel 6 last year and were very impressed, especially with the camera. The Pixel cameras are more lifelike than their iPhone or Samsung equivalents.

In May, Google officially confirmed the launch of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro during its 2022 I/O developer conference.

The tech giant will also soon be launching its Pixel 6a, so you might be tempted to wait rather than snap up that deal.

But if you’re in a hurry to buy a new phone, this offer is worth your money.
