Price of Motorola Edge 30 in India, introductory offer announced ahead of May 12 launch

The Motorola Edge 30 is ready to make its India debut on May 12th. Just days before the official launch, a new leak has tipped the Indian pricing details of the handset and the introductory offer. The Motorola Edge series handset made its global debut last week in April. It features a pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a triple rear camera unit led by a 50-megapixel main sensor. The Motorola Edge 30 is said to be India’s first phone powered by Snapdragon 778G+ SoC.

According to the leak, the upcoming Motorola Edge 30 will cost Rs. 27,999 in India. Additionally, customers are expected to receive an introductory offer of Rs. 2,000 from a bank, bringing the effective price down to Rs. 25,999. However, the bank names are not given by the tipster.

As a reminder, the Motorola Edge 30 was launched in European markets in April with a price of 449.99 EUR (approx. Rs. 36,300) for the base variant with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage.

Motorola has already announced that the Motorola Edge 30 will be launched in India on May 12th. Since then, the company has been actively teasing the smartphone via its social media handles and its own microsite.

Motorola Edge 30 specifications

The Flipkart listing shows that the Motorola Edge 30 will have 5G connectivity and a pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display will have HDR10+ support and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. It also suggests a weight of 155 grams and a thickness of 6.79mm for the phone. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 778G+ octa-core processor coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

The Motorola Edge 30 has a triple rear camera led by two 50-megapixel sensors. It has a 32MP front camera for selfies and video chats. The Indian variant of the Motorola Edge 30 will be offered with 6GB and 8GB RAM options and a single 128GB storage option. The handset comes with support for Dolby Atmos.

Launched globally, the model packs a 4,020mAh battery with 33W TurboPower charging support.
