Police: Taunton man arrested after attempted robbery – Boston News, Weather, Sports

TAUNTON, MASS. (WHDH) – A Taunton man faces numerous charges after he allegedly tried to rob two women at gunpoint on Sunday, officials said.
Officers responding to Chandler Avenue allegations of an attempted armed robbery were speaking to two women who said they were sitting outside when a man approached them and pointed a gun at their faces and asked them to empty their pockets, police said . The man reportedly fired a shot in the air before fleeing, and no one was injured by the shots, police said.
Officers allegedly saw a man matching the robber’s description run into a nearby wood and after chasing him and losing sight of him, they found him under a car trailer on Lynn Street, police said . They also found a loaded 9mm pistol near where the man was found, police said.
Judah Grigsby, 20, was charged with using a gun while committing a crime, carrying a dangerous weapon, firing a gun within 500 feet of a building, unlawful possession of ammunition, two assaults with a dangerous weapon, attempted to commit a crime and resist arrest. He is expected to face charges in Taunton District Court on Monday.
