Police have released footage of the moment a jogger was attacked from behind in western Sydney last month as detectives search for the perpetrator.
At around 6.50pm on December 29, the woman was jogging along Railway Parade in Lidcombe when the man grabbed her from behind and attacked her.
She alerted police and officers from the Auburn Police Area Command launched an investigation.
Investigators have now released footage of the moment the woman was attacked to try to identify the attacker.
In the clip, the man can be seen running after the woman before grabbing her neck and face.
The man pushes the woman to the ground before running away, leaving the woman confused. According to the police, the woman suffered no serious injuries.
Police described the man as Asian-looking, about 20 to 25 years old, about 170 centimeters tall, of thin build with black shoulder-length hair.
He was wearing a dark t-shirt, dark track pants with white stripes, and white shoes. Anyone who knows the man is asked to contact the police.
