Police ask for help identifying suspect in attempted kidnapping in Burlington – Boston News, Weather, Sports

BURLINGTON, MASS. (WHDH) – Burlington police are reaching out to the public for help in their search for a suspect they say attempted to kidnap someone on Sunday night.

The investigation was launched after officers received an 911 call from a person who said she was driving home from work when they believed a female victim was killed by a male suspect on the Middlesex Turnpike nearby just before 8am towed away on foot along Great Meadow Road: 30 a.m., according to a press release by Chief Thomas P. Browne.

The suspect, who appeared startled by the 911 caller passing his vehicle nearby, fled on foot and is described as a white male in his teens or early 20s. He was last spotted wearing a black hat, black hoodie, khaki/brown pants and black and white sneakers.

The victim managed to escape and police found her arriving moments later.

Police say there is an active response in the area, and Essex County Sheriff’s Department K-9 and a Bedford police officer are also on the scene to help with the search.

Anyone with leads is urged to call the police at 781-272-1212.
