Police: 7 injured in head-on collision in Townsend – Boston News, Weather, Sports

TOWNSEND, MASS. (WHDH) – Police are investigating after seven people were seriously injured in a head-on collision between two cars in Townsend on Monday, officials said.
Officers responding to reports of an accident near 130 Main Street Monday night found that two cars had collided head-on, police said. According to the police, first responders had to free two people from one of the cars.
One of the victims suffered a heart attack but was revived by on-site first responders and flown to a local hospital, and a second victim was also flown by ambulance. The rest of the people were also taken to the hospital with serious injuries, officials said.
The road is expected to remain closed for at least another hour while state police investigate the scene. Further information was not immediately available.
