ALBUQUERQUE, NM – New Mexico’s Public Regulation Commission on Wednesday voted to reject an $8 billion merger proposal between PNM and Avangrid.

A hearing assessor presented doubts about the merger after hours of testifying, concluding that the deal did not outweigh the risks to utility payers.
