Plainville 4-alarm condo complex fire put down – Boston News, Weather, Sports

Plainville Fire Department Tuesday night extinguished a mulch fire that spread to two units in a condominium complex.
Just before midnight, Plainville firefighters moved to 6 Messenger St. and found two out of 10 units in the complex filled with heavy fire and smoke. All residents were able to evacuate their buildings safely.
Firefighters were able to fight the blazes from the inside for a while, but the raging fire forced them to leave homes and fight the blazes from the outside.
The fire was under control by 1 a.m. One person was taken to hospital with stress-related injuries.
The two units that caught fire sustained significant structural damage, but residents of all 10 units were displaced due to electrical damage. The Massachusetts American Red Cross will help these families.
