Piers Morgan interfered with Boris Johnson’s leadership, urging him to step down after Rishi Sunak and Sajid David resigned.
The Prime Minister faces a major leadership crisis after Mr Sunak resigned as Chancellor and Mr Javid resigned as Health Minister on Tuesday night.
A humiliating apology from Mr Johnson about scandal-hit former deputy chief whip Chris Pincher failed to prevent the departure of two senior ministers and potential leadership rivals.
Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers unwrapped the latest bombshell to hit the government during a specially enhanced episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored which analyzed all the breaking news from Downing Street live.
“We should never be happy when a British government collapses in shame, scandal and lies,” he said as he unveiled his programme.
“It’s not good for the country, is it? It’s not good for any of us. Why would any of us want that?’
Piers continued: “This is actually something that shames our country. The British Prime Minister has had to resign because his own party has turned on him for his nonsense talk.
“He kept breaking his own rules. This is not good. We should ask more of our leaders.’
Many have spoken out in favor of Piers’ two-hour bumper episode, with one branding it a “fantastic show.”
“You hit the nail on the head with a lot of things and your guests,” wrote one. “And you’re probably the only one to recognize that losing a health minister is bad for all of us when a pandemic is still ongoing!”
Since the resignations of Mr David and Mr Sunak, it has been confirmed that Nadhim Zahawi will replace Mr Sunak as Chancellor and Steve Barclay as Health Minister.
Michelle Donelan will replace Mr Zahawi as Minister for Education.
Piers Morgan Uncensored airs weekdays from 8 p.m. on TalkTV.
