People were stuck on the streetcar at St. Louis Arch for hours

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — A representative from Gateway Arch National Park tells FOX 2 that a tram was stuck in the north leg of the arch for at least two hours today. It’s not clear how many people were on board, but they were in touch with Arch officials while they waited inside.
The tram had electricity and lights, but it couldn’t move for hours. St. Louis Fire Department personnel were called to the scene to help with the situation.
The tram was repaired around 2:00 p.m. People just got off, it’s not clear where they are right now. Bommarito Automotive Group’s SkyFOX helicopter flew over the area. There are some emergency vehicles in the park, but many tourists seemed unfazed by the situation.
This is an evolving story. A FOX 2 crew is on site. Refresh this page for the latest details.
