FOXBORO, MASS. (WHDH) – Despite winning four of their last five games, the Patriots are forgetting the first half of their season.
The team believe they have a clean slate from bye week and are poised for a tough second half starting this Sunday when they host their AFC East rivals, the Jets.
Sunday is the first of three games in 12 days for the Patriots, and quarterback Mac Jones is looking forward to the challenge. He said it’s a great opportunity for the Patriots to make a push from the bottom of the AFC East.
Jones told 7NEWS he underwent a full check-up during bye week, working on his readings and making sure his eyes and feet are in the right place.
He also mentioned that the Jets have a defense without many weaknesses, but Gillette Stadium was a house of terror for the Jets. They haven’t won a game at Foxboro since the 2010 playoffs, and the Patriots are looking to beat them for a seventh straight game.
But the Patriots know the Jets will be vengeful.
