A TikToker who claims to be a former Panera Bread employee takes her complaints about the location she worked at to viral success.
User Alley (@alleyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy) posted her video on the subject about a week ago. The video quickly racked up over 755,000 views, with many alleged former Panera employees commenting on the post to support or refute their claims.
@alleyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy finally stopping 🤌🏻 last place I recommend working. #fuckpanera ♬ original sound – 👰🏽♂️
Their complaints include that much of the food comes frozen (that’s true, according to Mashed), the restaurant is “disgusting,” it “didn’t start using expiration dates until they found out the inspectors were coming,” says management insufficient, and employees “never just get the job done [they] requested”, among other alleged problems.
She also urged viewers not to “trust the chicken.”
“Finally quitting…last thing I recommend is working,” she said in the caption.
In the comments section, Alley clarified that she’s not talking about all of Panera Bread’s locations, just her own.
“That was my Panera and some others in the comments but not every Panera is the same,” she wrote.
However, this prompted many commenters to share their own thoughts on the chain.
“Worst place to work,” claimed one user. “I’m literally just showing up today and never going back.”
“I literally heard so many bad things about working there that I turned down the job offer,” added another.
Others refuted them, saying the quality of the Panera Bread site largely depends on who runs it.
“Depending on management, mine has always been very hygienic and strict,” shared one commenter.
Even more said these alleged problems weren’t unique to Panera.
“This is literally every restaurant lmfao,” claimed one user.
In a later TikTok, Alley shows some of the Google reviews of her Panera Bread location.

Complaints range from food poisoning to simply “disgusting,” according to screenshots of the reviews she shared in the video, with many users noting inconsistent quality.
Alley said the baked goods were “okay” after being asked by a viewer to “give us examples of what’s safe to eat.”
“Pastries are fine,” she begins, before noting an alleged caveat, “if the baker decides to wash his hands that day.”
