Panera customer tries “supercharged lemonade” and hopes to get “nervous”.

A Panera shopper tries the restaurant’s caffeinated Charged Lemonade drink in hopes it’ll make her just as “nervous” as another shopper – who recently went viral for sharing her shock at the high caffeine content – and in the comments her now-viral TikTok sparked debate.

In the video posted by TikToker Taelor (@taelormadex) on December 15, she shows ordering a large charged lemonade from Panera and calling it “crack in a cup.”

“The girl in the video” Taelor is referring to is TikTok user Sarah (@sarahebaus), who unknowingly consumed over 1,000 mg of caffeine while refilling the drink.

“Just for reference, I’m a hyperactive person by nature so 100% that’s not a good idea and I got a big one because I’m clearly struggling. And I always want problems,” Taelor says in the clip.

After taking a note, Taelor reveals that her index finger involuntarily trembles, suggesting the drink’s caffeine is the cause.

The video had been viewed over 489,000 times as of December 27, with viewers debating whether the drink might have caused caffeine-induced tremors in their fingers.

“Definitely a placebo effect,” said one user.

“They’re good but they don’t do me caffeine wise,” wrote another.

However, other customers reported feeling a noticeable boost in energy after trying the charged lemonade.

“I went this morning and ate the mango and baby I cleaned my house can you hear me?” wrote one commenter.

“I got the Fuji cranberry every day for about two weeks straight and it was pure chaos. it had me WIRED LOL,” said another.

The Daily Dot contacted Taelor and Panera via email.
