Just when you thought about the drama surrounding the film don’t worry darling was over, leave it to TV host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel to rock it back into pop culture. Just last week, actor Chris Pine finally addressed the online chatter his co-star, pop superstar Harry Styles, accidentally spat at him.
At a performance on Esquires video segment explain that, Pine puts it bluntly: “Harry didn’t spit at me,” before adding, “Harry’s a very nice guy. I think Harry leaned forward and said, ‘It’s just words, isn’t it?’ We had this little joke. We were all jet lagged and trying to answer questions, and sometimes when you do these press stuff, your brain gets confused and you start speaking gibberish, so we had a joke, “It’s just words.”
However, during a question-and-answer segment with in-person attendees, Jimmy Kimmel posed the user-submitted question to Nobel Peace Laureate Malala Yousafzai: “As the youngest Nobel Laureate in history, I was wondering if Harry Styles spits on Chris Pine?”
The philanthropist so mercifully didn’t take the bait and quickly replied, “I’m only talking about peace.”
