Ontario Health Secretary to Stop Tweeting COVID Data; Figures are still available on the province’s website

Ontario health minister says she will no longer tweet the province’s latest news COVID-19 Dates like she did during the pandemic.

“As key indicators continue to improve or remain stable and the majority of public health measures are now being lifted, today will be the last day I tweet daily COVID-19 numbers.” Christine Eliot said Friday.

She noted that updated data will continue to be available on the Province website.

During the pandemic, Elliott tweeted daily the latest COVID-19 figures and provided updates on the province’s epidemiological situation.

The province has shifted toward “Living with and Dealing with COVID-19.” a plan This includes lifting all public health measures by the end of April.

On Monday, the mask mandate for most public facilities in the province will be lifted.
