One Woman Show is a prank festival on a grand scale

With her character “staggering through my 20s in a darkly funny, utterly honest way,” the show is like a window into every beautiful but relatable, smart but down-to-earth, clumsy but honest female caricature with a strong, honest best friend around. If they’re running away from a painful life event, even better.

one woman show could inspire connections with fleasack, but it’s far from a simple Lampoon. It’s a magnificent and well-crafted journey through ridiculous rom-com locations, serious performance poetry, rich and justified self-awareness, and narrow-minded notions of what a woman is like in modern times.

But overall it’s well done, with a wonderfully dry and to the point script, and lots of bird-based humor. And Kingsman is a very funny person who proves that comedy sees through everything.

one woman show is at the Sydney Opera House until February 19th.
