NRL 2023 Market Watch: Will Penisini re-signs to a two-year deal with Parramatta Eels

Wallabies coach Eddie Jones can cross a name off his NRL hit list, with the Eels locking up one of the brightest young talents in the game. Latest market overview.
The Eels have nailed one of the brightest young talents as strike center Will Penisini signs on for a further two years.
Which should only bolster Parramatta’s hopes of keeping star-half Mitchell Moses, Penisini’s signature comes just a month after rising star Dylan Brown also pledged his future to the club.
Penisini, 20, will be with the Eels until at least late 2025.
Last season, he showcased his elite center streak by playing every game, including the grand finals, before winning a representative shirt for Tonga at last year’s World Cup.
“The Eels shirt means a lot to me, I grew up in that system and to play with my mates for the club I’ve loved all my life is surreal,” said Penisini.
“Brad and the coaching staff have helped me progress through the junior lanes since I was 14. I’m grateful for all the opportunities and support I’ve had at the club.
“We ended the 2022 season strong and I think we’ve created a good platform to really challenge in the years to come.”
