Everyone is talking about Nicola Peltz and her beautiful wedding ensemble.
Actress Brooklyn Beckham married in a lavish ceremony in Palm Beach yesterday.
But Nicola’s custom-made Valentino wedding dress wasn’t the only draw
Her stunning half up and half down hairstyle was also a topic of conversation.
And Nicolas hairstylist Adir Abergel has now revealed the bride’s hair was inspired by Claudia Schiffer – so much so that she even sent him snaps of the model from the ’90s for inspiration.
Speaking to ‘Vogue’, Adir said: “She sent me all these things
Pictures of the early Claudia Schiffer – including pictures of her with a pony
– so they inspired us, plus the dress, which is just beautiful.’
Additionally, Adir revealed that Brigitte Bardot’s half ponytails were also a point of reference.
Nicole Petty, haircare expert at Milk + Blush, explains why the look is a popular choice for brides like Nicola.
She tells Metro.co.uk: “Romantic, versatile and effortlessly elegant, half up and down bridal hairstyles are one of the most popular styles for brides – with celebrities like Nicola Peltz showing us just how desirable this style is in theirs newly released wedding photos.
“Raising the hair of the face and neck enhances the bride’s natural beauty and creates a soft, romantic look without being overly fussy.
“Nicola’s soft, cascading curls enhance the romance even further, adding volume where needed, while the straight sections add an air of class and sophistication that screams Hollywood glamour.”
So who can wear this bridal hairstyle?
Nicole has a few tips – depending on your hair type.
She says: “While the style suits almost any hair type and texture, those with fine hair need to take care to create volume or invest in some hair extensions to avoid making the hair look thin.
“Creating volume at the back of the head is also important to avoid making the hairstyle look flat – a texturizing powder and lightly combing back to lift the hair can help here.
“Brides-to-be should also consider standing out with face-framing bangs like Nicola.”
Nicole says that while you don’t need bangs to wear your hair half up and half down, shorter pieces that frame your face can complement features like your cheekbones and soften the look.
She adds, “Curtain bangs are one of the most popular cuts right now and can be easily adjusted to fit most face shapes.
‘Take notes from Nicola, who avoided her usual style of tucking her long locks behind her ears and instead opted for striking Brigitte Bardot-inspired curtain bangs that fell on her cheekbones and framed her face perfectly.
“There is no doubt that this spring/summer we will see brides recreating Nicola’s wedding hairstyle for their special day.”
