The inquest into Nicola Bulley’s death is set to begin later today, six months after the mother-of-two was first reported missing.

The 45-year-old disappeared after dropping off her children at school and going on their usual dog walk along the River Wyre in St Michael’s on Wyre on January 27.

Her phone, still connected to a Teams work call, was found on a bench overlooking the water.

The disappearance sparked a major police search and concern across the country, with Ms Bulley quickly being listed as a “high risk” missing person.

Her body was later found in the river about a mile downriver from the bank on February 19.
