Christmas cutie
“It was 2:34 am on December 24, 2016. I had already been in the hospital for 10 days because my waters broke 11 weeks early and we were trying to do everything we could to get him healthy and a few more weeks in my womb keep . Well he had other plans,” Vanessa wrote via Instagram in December 2022, celebrating Phoenix’s birthday. “I went to the toilet and when I got up I noticed my umbilical cord was coming out, an umbilical cord prolapse. I was immediately taken to an emergency room. 6 years later you would never know it was a premiere!”
She continued, “And when I tell him his birth story, he says, ‘Mom, I came early because I didn’t want to miss Christmas!’ …One of our favorite family traditions is a gingerbread house that we have every year. He gets to eat it on the evening of his birthday! Happy birthday to my phoenix! The missing piece in our family puzzle that we never knew we needed! ❤️.”
