Former US President Donald Trump wants to be arrested on Tuesday.

The former president said in a post on his network Truth Social that “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan Attorney’s Office suggest that “THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE ARRESTED NEXT TUESDAY WEEK.” ‘

The post comes as a New York prosecutor is investigating charges in a case investigating hush money paid to women who allegedly had sexual encounters with him.

Trump called on his supporters to protest.

Law enforcement officials in New York have taken precautions against the possibility that the former president could be indicted.

There has been no public announcement of a timeline for the grand jury’s secret work in the case, including a possible vote on whether to indict the ex-president.

Trump went live yesterday with his first Facebook post since 2021.

‘I’M BACK!’ he wrote in the post on Friday afternoon.

It was accompanied by a 12-second Trump campaign video from 2024.

“Sorry to keep you waiting, complicated business, complicated business,” Trump said in the clip, speaking before a watch party in New York City after defeating Hillary Clinton and winning the 2016 presidential election.

His post came more than a month after Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, restored its accounts.

Trump has 34 million followers on his Facebook page. Friday’s post is a clear indication that Trump intends to use Facebook as a mechanism in his 2024 presidential campaign, which he announced in November.

The 45th President had stuck to posting on his own Truth Social platform, despite having his meta accounts restored and his Twitter account restored in November following the Elon Musk takeover.
