New South Wales Police have charged Mann with allegedly sexually assaulting a teenager

A man has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl in a public toilet at a playground in southern Sydney.

Police were contacted on Monday by a 14-year-old girl who told officers she was allegedly sexually assaulted in a toilet block at Pole Depot Park in Penshurst.
A crime scene was identified in the park before police went to a nearby home around 5 p.m. and arrested a 46-year-old man.

He was taken to Kogarah Police Station and charged with five felonies, including fabricating child abuse material, aggravated sexual intercourse with a child over the age of 14 and under 16, and using a child over the age of 14 to produce child abuse material.
He was formally denied bail at Sutherland Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and will appear at Downing Center Magistrates’ Court on October 26.
