New Hampshire lawmakers criticize Biden’s proposal to eliminate the state’s first elementary school – Boston News, Weather, Sports

CONCORD, NH (WHDH) — New Hampshire lawmakers are opposing President Joe Biden’s proposal to take away the state’s first primary.
The president has said he wants to ditch what he calls “restrictive assemblies” and add more state diversity.
CNN reports that Biden wants South Carolina to top the calendar and Michigan and Georgia into the top five states.
“In New Hampshire, it doesn’t matter how much money you have, where you’re from, or who knows your name — everyone has a fair chance in our elementary school,” NH Senator Jeanne Shaheen said in a statement. “It is disappointing that the President failed to see the unique role that New Hampshire plays in our candidate selection process as the first primary state.”
Any changes to the area code calendar must be approved by the DNC, which has a full meeting scheduled for early 2023.
