previously on New Amsterdam Season 5 Episode 10, Reynolds finds himself caught between a chance at love and an opportunity to spend quality time with his father. Realizing the consequences of her actions, Bloom takes an unexpected step forward with her sister. Max helps an ICU intern dealing with the loss of a patient. dr Wilder receives an offer that forces her to choose between her community and her career.

On the Midseason premiere from New Amsterdam Season 5 Episode 11 “Falling”Helen is back in New York!
She immediately texts Max to see if she can convince him to meet her at the old bar where they used to frequent. Max needs some time to think it over and decides to join Iggy, Elizabeth, Lauren and Ben for the corporate wilderness retreat. If another adventurer gets injured, all hands must be on deck in the forest to help save their life.
Max gets a little jealous of Elizabeth and Ben’s ability to communicate flawlessly and the special bond they’ve already formed. Lauren has a change of heart about the situation with Vanessa and seeks her out.
Floyd and Gabrielle have gone from a silent question of wanting-they-won’t-they to a simmering make-out scene at work that keeps employees talking. Let’s just hope Floyd doesn’t get heart broken when Gabrielle travels on to the nearest hospital.
So who will Max choose? Will he continue to build on what he started with Elizabeth, or will he return to what he knows, Helen? Could it be the right time for Max to just stay single and focus more on himself and his future?
