Mattea, 23, qualified for the NBC show’s Tournament of Champions after taking home an additional $34,000 on Friday night.

NBC took to Twitter to announce their ongoing winning streak, but left some fans frustrated with their choice of words.

Instead of giving her name, the network chose to call the quiz winner “a lesbian tutor” in a headline about her TV appearances.

The 23-year-old Toronto lesbian tutor has amassed a total of $320,081, most of it from a Canadian contestant in Danger! history,” the tweet said.

A number of fans were quick to lash out at the “bizarre” choice of words regarding Mattea’s sexuality – what their jeopardy! Perfomance.

“What a bizarre thing. Nobody cares if she’s a lesbian. Shame on NBC news. It doesn’t matter,” wrote one.

A second chimed in: “What the heck does her sexuality have to do with anything? Does it somehow improve their ability to respond?”

“Have you highlighted the sexual orientation of other successful guests on the show?” he asked further.

Others poked fun at the tweet, joking that it made it sound like “lesbian tutor” was her job title — and that she specifically tutored lesbians.

“It’s good that this Jeopardy contestant is helping so many lesbians study,” one quipped in a hilarious tweet.

A second added: “She could probably use the money, her business model of only tutoring lesbians is probably unsustainable.”

“She teaches lesbians and will remain nameless,” concluded a third.

Mattea said Jeopardy! after her 12th win in a row that it’s been a “crazy season full of streaks” all year.

Notice of danger! World Champion Amy Schneider, she said: “I totally thought, you know, Amy could still be here.

“If it’s not Amy, there will be another super champion that will just beat me out of the first game. And then, I guess what I didn’t know is that maybe I could become the super champion.”

Amy capped a 40-game winning streak earlier this year and took home a whopping $1,382,800 as the top female earner in Jeopardy! Story.

The star, who became a transgender icon after the show, finished second to Ken Jennings, who ended a 74-game streak in 2004.

It comes after Jeopardy! Fans slammed Ken Jennings’ “lawless” game over which he “lost all control” and saw Mattea win for a 16th time.
